International umpire award for Scottish official
Scottish Hockey is delighted to have received confirmation from the International Hockey Federation (FIH) that Gavin Cruickshank has received his FIH International indoor badge.
Gavin a member of Grove Menziehill received his upgrade to an international umpire following a strong performance at the EuroHockey Indoor Nations Championship tournament in Portugal in January.
Gavin adds the indoor badge to his FIH International outdoor badge that he received in 2013.
This makes Gavin one of only seven umpires in Scotland to have both his Indoor and Outdoor International Badge.
Gavin started on the EHF Umpire Development Programme in 2015 and we wish him all the best for the programme and his future umpiring.
His upgrade comes just days before a number of Scottish officials fly out to represent their country at a number of EHF indoor club tournaments, including Scott Baird, Alex Fedenczuk, Martin Monaghan, Ali Munro and David Sweetman
