Indoor European hockey returns to Dundee
European hockey will return to Dundee for the first time in several years when MJV Dundee Wanderers host the EuroHockey Indoor Club Champions Trophy at the Dundee International Sports Centre from 19-21 February.
The newly crowned indoor champions will host last season’s league winners from England (Bowdon), Ireland (Ards), Belgium (Royal Pingouin), France (Iris), Switzerland (Rotweiss Wettingen), Turkey (Highway) and Croatia (Mladost).
For three days, top class international female athletes from across Europe will be competing at the highest levels of skill and fitness, including Wanderers’ own Vikki Bunce, Becky Ward and Charlotte Watson, who recently competed for Scotland in the Indoor Nations Championship II.
In order to gain the right to stage this tournament the club went through an extensive bidding process beating Ankara of Turkey, and is looking forward to welcoming the hockey community to the venue.
Entry for is £2 spectators, including a programme, and U16 will be free of charge.
Pool A features home side Wanderers, Bowdon, Ards and Royal Pingouin, while Pool B includes Iris, Rotweiss Wettingen, Highway and Mladost.
