Hillhead Ladies looking to maintain title chase

 

Hillhead face struggling University of Dundee who have had a poor start to the season with only four points on the table. The students lost 6-1 last time they faced the westenders and will be hoping to improve tomorrow.
Borders Fjordhus Reivers and fourth place Erskine Stewart Melville FP, separated only two points, face each other in a mid-table battle. When these two teams met earlier in the season the Edinburgh based side were the victors taking the three points home in a close 2-1 win.
Second place AAM Merlins Gordonians welcome seventh place Glasgow University. The students have had a mixed bag of results totalling more draws than wins, they will be aiming for a solid win and to nick the three points off the second place team.
Inverleith moved up to third after last weekend’s tense draw with second place AAM Merlins Gordonians; they travel to Granite City Wanderers this weekend who will want to redeem themselves after last week’s 7-0 loss to Hillhead.
Division 3
Top of the table clash this weekend with top team University of St Andrews travelling away to second place Waverly Inveresk Trinity. The students may be steaming ahead on 28 points but the Bangholm outfit have two games in hand and full of confidence after only one loss to their name.
At the other end of the table bottom side University of Strathclyde welcome Aberdeen and after their first win in 4 games will be wanting to keep up form and gain another three points to help them move up the division.
Struggling Bon Accord MBC face third place Stirling University, the university based side’s recent run of form has been solid but after last weekend’s loss to Aberdeen they will be hoping to correct themselves and get another three points.

After last weekend’s defeat to Edinburgh University II, Glasgow Accies face another tough ask as they take on Milne Craig Clydesdale Western II.
Grove Menzieshill A welcome local rivals CALA Edinburgh II whilst Milne Craig Clydesdale Western III take on Edinburgh University II in Glasgow.
Division 2
On Saturday Kelburne II play their first game of this new division as they take on Grange EL at home. Elsewhere on Sunday Edinburgh University III welcome Stirling Wanderers.
