Grove Menzieshill in relegation decider
Grove Menzieshill need a win against Russian indoor champions HC Dinamo-Elektrostal in tomorrow’s final EuroHockey Indoor Club Trophy match in order to avoid relegation to the Challenge I.
The Dundonians started the day in fine form when they secured a vital 5-4 win against HK Zrinjevac in their third Pool B match this morning.
Louise Carroll grabbed an impressive four goals, including three penalty strokes and a penalty corner, before an important winning goal from Louise Baxter two minutes from time earned the Scots a vital five points to carry forward to the relegation pool.
However, Charlotte Jones’ side lost out 5-1 to Italian champions HF Lorenzoni in their first relegation pool match this afternoon. Louise Carroll got the solitary goal for Grove Menzieshill.
