Governance Update – General Meeting

Since the 2012 AGM, and further to previous notices and reports available on the Scottish Hockey website, the Governance Review Short Life Working Group (SLWG) and Scottish Hockey Board have been working through a transparent review process, in consultation with members, which aims to ensure that the Scottish Hockey Board structure and function is thoroughly reviewed, in order that going forward, it is appropriate to govern the sport in Scotland, meeting members’ needs.
The proposed changes to the Board’s structure and related methods of operation which have come from the review and consultation work, including how directors are nominated, as well as some changes to roles of Board Members, will require some amendments to the current Articles of Association by suitably qualified legal personnel, reporting to the Board. These changes in turn require formal approval at a General Meeting in advance of a new elections process.Sco
