Glasgow Uni secure first win
Aberdeen Asset Management Women’s National League Division 2
AAM Merlins Gordonians lost their first game of the season on Saturday against second place Hillhead, 3-1. They redeemed themselves on Sunday winning 2-0 at home to Dundee University. Even though Hillhead have two games in hand they lost to third place Inverleith 2-1 at home.
Glasgow University move up to seventh after losing on Saturday 4-1 to Erksine Stewarts Melville FPs but followed up with their first win away from home against Haddington, 3-2.
Bottom placed Haddington went away from home and lost 5-1 to Inverleith, Erksine Stewarts Melville FPs won 6-0 against Granite City Wanderers and Borders Fjordhus Reivers had a great 7-2 away win over Dundee University.
Aberdeen Asset Management Women’s National League Division 3
St Andrews University maintained their 100% record with a solid 5-0 win over Ayr then scraped a 2-2 draw with sixth place ADTI Aberdeen University on the Sunday.
Aberdeen Ladies dropped to fifth after losing 3-1 at home to Waverley Inveresk Trinity on Saturday. Ayr managed to hold Stirling University to a 2-2 draw on Sunday and Bon Accord MBC lost at home, 3-0 to second place Waverley Inveresk Trinity.
Championship League
West Division
Kelburne II had a rough weekend, after just missing out on a point away from home, they saw defeat from Stirling Wanderers 3-2. They then welcomed Milne Craig Clydesdale Western III in which they lost 9-0.
Top team Milne Craig Clydesdale Western II faced there IIIs and won 3-1. Stirling Wanderers secured another win on the Sunday against Glasgow Accies, 1-0.
East Division
Edinburgh University II had a solid weekend of wins, beating Grove Menzieshill A 8-0 followed by an away win over Watsonians A 4-1.
Fellow students Edinburgh University III secured their first win over Watsonians A 2-0 but couldn’t keep up the pace and lost 4-1 to CALA Edinburgh II the following day, who are currently lying second in the division.
CALA Edinburgh put in a stomping performance on the Saturday beating Grange II 10-1.
