Glasgow Green ‘Home for Hockey’ Meeting
Ground work on the new Glasgow green “Home for Hockey”
is now underway. The project completion time is 50 weeks and as
such Scottish Hockey would like to invite all clubs in the West
District to a meeting to discuss the impact and future use of this
facility.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss how the opening of this
new facility can best support West District clubs to develop hockey
in Glasgow and across the District and drive the maximum benefit
from two new water-based pitches.
As you may be aware there will be a requirement that all
national League Division 1 teams play on water based pitches in the
season 2013-14 thus this may have a knock on effect on how clubs
use their pitches and complement those of the new facility.
Date & Time:
Thursday 27th September, 7.30pm start
Venue:
sportscotland, Doges, Templeton on the Green, 62 Templeton
Street, G40 1DA

If you have any trouble finding the venue please contact Jamie
Frail on 07506 523 609
Please keep in mind that the meeting will concentrate on the
opportunity to develop hockey with the new pitches rather than
focussing on information regarding the facility itself.
We look forward to welcoming you to this meeting and would be
grateful if you could please email Jamie
Frail with your named representative who will attend the
meeting by Thursday the 20th at the latest.
