GHK maintain lead at top of second division
GHK Ladies maintained their lead at the top of the Women’s Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 2 after strolling to a 5-0 away win over Haddington Ladies today.
However, Watsonians remain only two points behind the Glasgow outfit after they defeated capital rivals Waverley Inveresk Trinity 2-0 at home.
Erskine Stewart’s Melville retain an outside chance of promotion after a 4-1 win over Hillhead Ladies at Inverleith, which moves them up to third place after Granite City Wanderers went down 2-0 to relegation threatened Glasgow University.
Highland and Borders Fjordhus Rievers took a point each from their 1-1 draw.
In Women’s Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 3, AAM Merlins Gordonians moved ten points clear of Dundee University after a 3-0 away win over Aberdeen Ladies, while the students from Tayside could only manage a 1-1 draw at Aberdeen University.
Stirling University dropped to fourth in the table after suffering a 4-2 loss to St.Andrew’s University. Bon Accord MBC and Strathclyde University played out an entertaining 4-4 draw while Stirling Wanderers beat basement side Ayr Ladies 2-1.
