GHK have title destiny in their hands
The destination of the Women’s Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 2 title is now in the hands of GHK Ladies after their 3-3 draw against Watsonians today.
A point against Granite City Wanderers tomorrow would allow the Glasgow outfit to clinch the league crown on goal difference and secure promotion to Division 1 next season.
Watsonians will be waiting anxiously on the outcome and a loss for their close rivals would give them the title and automatic promotion.
Borders Fjordhus Rievers rounded off the league campaign in style with a convincing 6-1 home win over Granite City Wanderers, as did Erskine Stewart’s Melville, who beat relegated Waverley Inveresk Trinity by the same scoreline.
There were also goals aplenty in the Hillhead versus Highland contest, the Glasgow side running out 5-0 winners.
In Women’s Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 3, Stirling Wanderers moved a place up to sixth after a 1-1 draw away to Strathclyde University.
Bon Accord MBC defeated Ayr Ladies 2-1 away from home, while Stirling University finished off their season with a 2-0 win over Aberdeen Ladies.
In the Women’s Championship Division, congratulations to Milne Craig Clydesdale Western II who are league champions.
