‘Get Hooked on Hockey’ with East Kilbride Hockey Club

New programme to attract more women into hockey at a recreational level.
The People’s Postcode Lottery have funded a pilot to widen the opportunities in hockey and target new, social participants.  Get Hooked on Hockey is a class aimed specifically at female beginners as an alternative to other group fitness activities.  The sessions will be led by a fully qualified coach and the focus will be on fun, fitness and meeting new people.  Classes will be delivered under local hockey clubs to make sure the programme is sustainable.  As part of the pilot, participants can attend 3 sessions for free after which they will receive their free ‘Get Hooked on Hockey’ t-shirt, as well as free social membership to Scottish Hockey.
The pilot sessions are taking place with East Kilbride Hockey Club in partnership with South Lanarkshire Leisure. The class will be launched on Wednesday 2nd of March, 8pm-9pm at John Wright Sports Centre in East Kilbride.  To sign up for this class follow the link here: http://goo.gl/forms/gdjurvI7Gw
