First blood to Grove
ABERDEEN ASSET MANAGEMENT NATIONAL LEAGUE
First blood to Grove Menzieshill with a narrow 1-0 win
over Milne Craig Western in the women`s Aberdeen Asset Management
national league match on Tayside today.
The giants of the women`s game served up a rather dismal affair
with few chances to either side.
The only goal of the game came in 27 minutes through an error by
the Western defence, the ball was not cleared from the danger area,
and Sarah Jamieson took advantage to score from three yards
out.
EUROLEAGUE
Glynhill Kelburne`s second spot in the three team pool
and qualification for the knock-out stages of the EuroLeague were
confirmed today when Rot-Weiss Koln predictably defeated AHTC Wien
12-1 the first game at East Grinstead.
It is the Austrians who leave empty handed and both Rot-Weiss
and Kelburne go into the draw for the last 16.
