“I am very excited about the fact that the FIH Champions Challenge I will take place at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, the venue for Hockey at the 2014 Commonwealth Games”, said Leandro Negre, President of the International Hockey Federation. “It is a superb facility and will provide the perfect setting for what promises to be a very exciting and extremely competitive event.”
Hockey fans will also be presented with the opportunity to view some of the world’s top international players when Belgium, England and an additional nation to be confirmed join Scotland for a Men’s Four Nations competition. Matches will be played at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre on 25/26/28 April.
These two events will be the first international matches to be staged at the brand new Glasgow National Hockey Centre, the venue for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games hockey competition.
