Eugene Connolly & Susie Elms Confirmed As Team Managers For Glasgow 2014
Scottish Hockey is delighted to announce that both Eugene Connolly and Susie Elms have been confirmed by Commonwealth Games Scotland (CGS) as Sports Team Managers for hockey at Glasgow 2014.
In the second of the two interviews, we talk to Scotland Women’s Manager Susie Elms.
For a number of years, Susie has been involved with sport in almost every capacity. She was formally a P.E teacher, then became a Lecturer in Sports coaching and sports development in Edinburgh.
In 1998 Susie was employed by Scotland’s Institute of Sport, taking on a number of different roles such as mentor for the achieved programme in Deli, helping athletes in both Hockey and Swimming. She is currently head of performance lifestyle at sportscotland’s Institute of Sport, supporting athletes going in to big games and events.
With the Olympics held in London last year and the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow in 2014 it is a proud time for our sporting nation. Susie Elms is certainly relishing the opportunity after being selected as the Hockey Team Manager ahead of the competition. See what she has to say on the topic.
