East District do the double in U15 competitions
It was a double triumph for East District U15 boys and
girls last weekend as the two sides ran out victors at
the U15 Inter-District competition at Peffermill.
In the girls’ competition, it was a closely run contest between
East and South-West District in a round-robin format, with East’s
1-0 victory courtesy of Lorna Cruikshank (George
Heriot’s) strike proving the vital result as the sides were
only separated by one point in the final standings.
Meanwhile, East District met West District in
the final of the U15 boys’ competition following both sides’
100% record leading up to the final. Two first half goals, one from
Lewis Rasmusen (Fettes College) and a Stuart Hatton (West Calder
HS) finish, were enought for the East to run out 2-0 winners.
