Dundee Wanderers to host community sports open day with local clubs
Dundee Wanderers have teamed up with local rugby club Dundee Eagles and cricket club Dundee High School FP to host a community sports open day on Sunday 1 September at Dalnacraig Sports Ground, Arbroath Road, Dundee.
Supported by John Clark Tayside MINI, ‘Wicket, Flick It, Try It’ is open to persons of all ages and there will lots of hockey, cricket and rugby activities for local youngsters to take part in. It will run from 12-4pm.
The event is completley FREE to attend and there will be park and ride operation running between Dalnacraig and Dundee College’s Gardine Road throughout the day.
There will be something for all the family including:
- BBQ and food stalls
- Licensed bar serving alcohol and non-alcoholic refreshments
- Photo opportunities with international stars from each sport
- Raffle and Lucky Dip with some excellent prizes on offer
- Wine tasting with Aitken Wines
Crucially, there will be representatives from the three clubs providing information about how to join as a senior, junior or volunteer.
A number of businesses and organisations are supporting the event, including local radio station Wave 102 and Help for Kids.
