Dollar Academy win Quilter Cheviot S3 Girls Schools Cup
Dollar Academy had cause for celebration as they won the Quilter Cheviot S3 Girls Scottish Schools Cup at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre yesterday.
Dollar defeated Craigholme School of Glasgow in the final, goals coming from Ellie Towers and Olivia Mears either side of half-time.
Dollar had advanced to the final courtesy of a 4-1 win over George Heriot’s in the semi-final, while Craigholme were 2-0 winners over Robert Gordon’s College.
In the 3rd/4th play-off match, George Heriot’s defeated Robert Gordon’s College on penalties after a 1-1 deadlock at full-time. Francesca Van Der Linde had opened the scoring for the Edinburgh side, before Sarah Black levelled for Robert Gordon’s.
