Deadline for Competition Entries is Friday 28 June
Scottish Hockey would like to remind clubs that all all entry forms for senior competitions must be submitted no later than 4pm on Friday 28 June. We have had a very limited response rate so far.
If clubs do not meet the entry deadline, the administration process for next season’s competitions will be delayed. It is in all clubs’ best interests to submit their entries promptly and timeously.
Please visit Enter and Play Competitions to download the Competitions Entry Form.
You will notice that there are increases to the Competition Entry Fees, and these are mainly as a result of the new competition formats agreed at the AGM and by the Scottish Hockey Management Committee on Monday 10 June.
The reasons for the increase in Competition Entry Fees are as follows:
- The new play-off format will add an additional 42 fixtures to Men’s and Women’s National League Division 1, creating 132 fixtures in total.
- Women’s National League Division 1 entry fees will be brought in line with Men’s National League Division 1.
- Agreement to host events at central venues (possibly four events per season) will require payment for pitch lets (four fixtures per day).
- The number of Men’s National League Division 3 fixtures will increase from 135 games in 2012/13 to 156 games in 2013/14.
- Costs for indoor hall hire will increase and can vary greatly from venue to venue.
- Umpire mileage allowance will increase from 25p per mile to 30p per mile.
Scottish Hockey looks forward to welcoming clubs back for the 2013/14 season.
