Competitions Update : FixturesLive


Scottish Hockey will be partnering with Fixtures Live
www.fixtureslive.com to manage and administer league and cup
competitions for the 2012/13 season. This replaces the system that
was used last season.

Fixtures Live will offer clubs the facility to submit their league
and cup competition results via SMS (text message), a feature that
was well received last season. There are also other additional
features on offer from Fixtures Live, which will add to your user
experience.

To get your club up and running on the system, Fixtures Live will
contact you via email with Club Administrator login credentials
(username & password).

You will then be able access Fixtures Live to appoint individuals
within your club (team captains) to submit results for league and
cup competitions via SMS (text message). These individuals will be
allocated a unique PIN code for your club.

You need to appoint these individuals by Saturday 1 September.

The FixturesLive software will replace the competitions system
used last season for displaying fixtures, results and tables on the
Scottish Hockey website.

FixturesLive will offer clubs the facility to submit their
league and cup competition results via SMS (text message), a
feature that was well received last season. There are also other
additional features on offer from FixturesLive, which will add to
your user experience.

However, we are currently still collecting club committee data
from all clubs. We are not in a position to set-up
clubs on the FixturesLive system until we have a full complement of
this data from all clubs.

Therefore, if your club has not returned the Club Contacts form
issued by Dave Crighton, Competitions Manager, please do so as soon
as possible. Your club may also be missing important
communication from Scottish Hockey.

Fixtures are currently available to view online and until we
have the SMS functionality operational to submit results, please
continue to communicate your club’s results as noted on the Match
Report Form.

We hope to have the FixturesLive text message (SMS) service for
competitions operational as soon as possible. Thanks for your
