Clarification for Playing Above the Shoulder – District and Youth Level competitions
Scottish Hockey’s Management Committee today confirmed that adoption of the FIH regulation for Playing the Ball Above the Shoulder has been sanctioned by the International Hockey Federation for the following competitions only
- Men’s and Women’s National Leagues
- Men’s and Women’s Scottish Cup/Plate
- Men’s Regional League
- Women’s Championship League
Following a number of enquiries, the governing body also strongly advises that this regulation is not sanctioned to be played at all other levels, including District Leagues and Youth competitions.
