Be part of it! Scottish Hockey’s first ever Walking Hockey Festival
How do you fancy being part of Scottish Hockey’s first ever Walking Hockey Festival? Come along to Uddingston Cricket and Sports Club on Saturday 27th May at 12pm to pick up a stick.
Whether you are new to hockey, a seasoned pro, you’re returning from injury or other reasons, Walking Hockey is a low impact activity and encourages everyone to be more active regardless of age, health or ability. The rules of the game are simple, it’s hockey but you walk.
Those playing walking hockey will tell you they love to play it as it keeps them fit and helps build their confidence. Another huge benefit of the activity is that it provides a positive environment to develop friendships and socialise with link minded people.
If you fancy giving walking hockey a go, sign up to the festival by clicking here or email [email protected]
The festival is suitable for all abilities and ages 14+ and an entry fee of £5 is to be paid on the day. You can borrow a stick if you need one or bring your own. After playing some hockey, Uddingston Hockey Club welcome you to relax and have a bite to eat in the Clubhouse where refreshments will be served.
If you have any questions, or require support in registering, please contact [email protected]
If you’d like to try walking hockey before the festival, check out our Walking Hockey page and find your nearest club.
