Arnold Clark sponsor Scotland Women’s National Team
Arnold Clark is supporting the Scotland Women’s National Team as its new team sponsor. The renowned car dealership will appear on the team’s lapels as Scotland women prepare for an action-packed programme.
Since its launch in 1954 in Glasgow, Arnold Clark Automobiles has grown to become Europe’s largest privately owned car retailer, selling in excess of 300,000 vehicles per year, and has locations stretching from Elgin down to Exeter.
The sponsorship comes at the start of a huge year for the Scotland women’s team. First up the squad heads off to Chile to compete in the FIH Hockey Nations Cup on 23 February to 2 March.
The participating teams include some of the best hockey nations in the world, with two of them, Japan and the USA, having played at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The tournament will see Scotland feature alongside Canada; Chile; Ireland; Japan; Korea; New Zealand; and USA.
Then on 9-17 August Scotland will compete in the EuroHockey Championship in Monchengladbach, Germany, where they have been drawn in Pool B alongside Belgium; Spain; and England. It’s Scotland women’s third appearance at the tournament in a row, and they qualified after winning the EuroHockey Championship Qualifier in Glasgow last year.

Scottish Hockey’s Director of Hockey Operations, Jennifer Griffin, said, “We’re absolutely delight to have the support from such an esteemed business as Arnold Clark. The Scotland women’s team has a big year ahead of them and having the backing of a great partner like Arnold Clark is such a boost for the team.
“We’re really looking forward to working with the team at Arnold Clark going forward into another exciting year for the sport.”
John Clark, Chief Commercial Officer at Arnold Clark, said: “We’re thrilled to be the new sponsor of Scottish Hockey’s Women’s National Team.
“We fully appreciate and understand the positive impact that sport can have on people of all ages. It helps bring people together and it plays a huge role in local communities.
“Through our Community Fund, we’re proud to support teams at grassroots level and to provide young athletes with the opportunity to develop. And now, as sponsors of Scottish Hockey’s Women’s National Team, we’re excited to support those who are representing their country at the highest level.”
