Amy Costello named GB Squad women’s squad for USA this weekend
Scotland’s Amy Costello has been named in the Great Britain Women’s squad for the upcoming FIH Pro League match against USA. It’s Great Britain’s first home match of the FIH Pro League and it’s sure to be a great contest at Lee Valley in London.
The match will push back at 14:00 on Saturday 27 April and GB women, in front of a home crowd, are looking to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Germany in their last match.
USA is currently bottom of the women’s FIH Pro League table and GB are two places above them with a two-point advantage.
The two met in the FIH Pro League in March where GB clocked up a 3-1 victory in Spooky Nook, USA.
Britain’s women have ten games remaining, eight of them at home, so will be looking to kickstart their campaign with a positive result on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. They have five points from their first six games and lie seventh in the nine-team table.
