A big thank you to all who supported Champions Challenge and 4 Nations
Scottish Hockey could not have managed the success of the recent 4 Nations and FIH Champions Challenge without the help from our fantastic volunteers, supporters and event partners.
President of Scottish Hockey, Martin Boag said, “On behalf of the clubs and members of Scottish Hockey, I’d like to offer our thanks to all of the staff and volunteers for their efforts in the preparation and duration of the 4 Nations and Champions Challenge I tournaments.
Those efforts along with support from; the facility staff at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, The Glynhill Hotel, The Jurys Hotel and Pride of the Clyde Transport all combined to give our visitors, whether they were spectators, officials or teams many positives to take away with them into the hockey world. We hope this would bode well for Scottish Hockey if were to enter into bidding for any future events.
I would also like to thank our event partners Glasgow Life, Glasgow 2014, Event Scotland, NCS and Ginger Grouse for supporting international hockey in Glasgow. Finally, I would also like to congratulate the supporters of hockey who came to both tournaments and backed all the teams with great enthusiasm.”
Inverleith hockey member Michael Gibson was rewarded at the closing ceremony for his outstanding contribution at the tournament, travelling from Edinburgh every day with a smile always on his face.
From Scottish Hockey we would like to say a big thank you to all who gave up their time to be part of this International tournament. We couldn’t have done it without you.
