BRAVE Barbarians look to shake things up at Brave Cup
Our BRAVE Barbarians are new for the 2024 Brave cup and are here to shake things up!
We are excited to give our young talented players who didn’t make the full centre squads for BRAVE Cup 2024 the opportunity to compete on our finals day at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre.
The Barbarians squads also offer the unique opportunity to bring in players from out with Scotland who have been identified for trials to be part of our pathway squads, and see them play alongside our BRAVE players.
Our Barbarians squads all have special guest coaches and will have the opportunity to train together through the week before competing in finals day against our third placed BRAVE centre.
Head of the BRAVE programme, Kelly Fillingham, said, “The Barbarians feels like a great step for us towards a bigger better BRAVE Cup experience for our players, and the opportunity for our young players with potential who just missed out on selection for the full centres to get a positive competitive experience.
“We look forward to welcoming Kaz Cuthbert; Janice Hudson-Windsor; Chris Anderson; and Simone Upman, as our guest coaches and are looking forward to seeing the Barbarian players shake things up.”
