2014 Easter and Summer Camps Launched
Scottish Hockey is pleased to announce dates for our youth camps, including a brand new Easter camp at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre.
For the first time Scottish Hockey will be hosting a camp at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, venue for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Not only will the children get a chance to play at a world class facility which will be home to some of the world’s top teams in July, they will also be able to see Scotland’s senior teams train alongside them on the next pitch as part of their preparations for the Games. The Easter camp will last five days from 7-11 April.
We are also pleased to annonce the return of our Edinburgh Summer day camp held at Mary Erskine School from 7-11 July. This camp has been extended from three days to five in response to positive feedback about what our members wanted.
We are also delighted to be returning to Glenalmond for our sell out girls development camp. This is our most popular camp with places often being filled fast, so get your application in quickly for this one.
Unfortunately St Leonard’s School is under going refurbishment works this summer, therefore we have moved the residential camp for younger players to Strathallan and again extended this from three days to a five days in response to feedback on what our members wanted.
Our youth camps offer the perfect opportunity for children to develop their skills while working in a fun environment. Players attending the Youth Camps will have the benefit of:
Specialist skill workshops with UKCC qualified Scottish Hockey coaches.
- A camp t-shirt and certificate
- 10% discount for Scottish Hockey members
- Friendly tournaments and competitions with individual and team prizes.
- Fun, social activities so you can express yourself off the pitch too – quiz nights, talent shows, movie runs, and more.
- For parents, the camps are a cost-effective way for your children to spend a fun-packed and productive week during the school holidays.
- They are also an excellent social experience for youngsters, where they will meet new people and make friendships with children of a similar age.
- An excellent and enjoyable way to spend the school holidays!
Parents should feel reassured about the safety of their children at the Youth Camps. Our hockey coaches are fully qualified and have undergone full disclosure checks. This ensures that a safe and secure environment is provided for young people to enjoy hockey to its full potential.
