Six clubs awarded Silver Accreditation

Scottish Hockey’s Club Accreditation Programme, sponsored by Arthur J Gallagher, has awarded a further six clubs with Silver Accreditation.
Congratulations to:
Kinross Hockey Club
Troon Ladies Hockey Club
Perthshire Hockey Club
Aberdeen Grammar FP Hockey Club
Monarchs Hockey Club
Glasgow University Ladies Hockey Club
These clubs have worked diligently to fulfil all the requirements of Silver Level Accreditation, including the new coach PVG guidelines and implementing the processes into their club environments.
The accreditation programme serves to formalise the work that clubs may already do and ensures that succession planning, workforce development, and strong governance are to the fore. Accreditation also ensures that clubs are safe, well organised, and efficient with a focus on membership growth and retention.
These clubs will now be able to access all the benefits that a silver club offers. Well done to all volunteers involved in completing the accreditation process for their clubs.
Phil Nolan, Monarchs Hockey Club President, said:
“Monarchs Hockey Club is delighted to be awarded Scottish Hockey’s Silver Accreditation. I see it as recognition of the hard work done in the past year by everyone at the club from the management committee, coaching team and player’s right through to our volunteers and supporters. The fact is, in terms of player numbers and overall resources, we would be considered as one of the smallest clubs in the Midland region. I believe it is a testament to the efforts, enthusiasm and determination of those involved with Monarchs Hockey Club that we are one of only a few clubs in the area that have been given this recognition from Scottish Hockey.
“By taking the time to go through the accreditation process we have put clear structures, policies and procedures in place that have improved the club significantly, and will benefit and support its growth in the coming years.”
If your club would like to sign up to the accreditation programme, details of how to apply can be found on the Club Accreditation page.
The next closing date for clubs to achieve accreditation is Friday 22nd September. You can contact your regional staff member for support and assistance. Details can be found on the Club Accreditation page.
