iKnow Places: Connecting to your local community

This workshop with examine how community mapping can increase your clubs reach, and work with partners with similar aims and objectives.

Despite Covid-19 having a major affect on on-field hockey over the last 18 months, it has provided opportunities for clubs to think innovatively and deliver a range of different programmes that could not only increase club membership but also have a positive impact on physical and mental health levels within the wider community.

This workshop will look at:

• What’s your “why”? Why do you do you what you do…..?
• Analysing your clubs “reach” into the community
• How can you identify community partners who share your “why”?
• The benefits of working together with a community partner to achieve shared outcomes

This workshop is targeted at club leaders and committee members who are looking at new ways of engaging with their local communities, and follows on from “thinking about facilities” workshop on 12th Jan.
