BRAVE Academy Development Series
The final instalment in a series of matches between the three Academy Centres is taking place at Forthbank, Stirling this weekend.
The Emerging and Aspiring groups are playing each other over three weekends of matches involving the Dundee Devils, Edinburgh Lightning and Glasgow Thunder squads. Players are given the opportunity to learn and develop their skills and apply the BRAVE principles upon which the Academy Centres are based.
Girls – Saturday 11 December:
Emerging play first, starting at 12:55pm. Aspiring then begin their games at 3:40pm with the final match being at 5:30pm.
Boys – Sunday 12 December:
This is a rearranged event to replace the Academy Series that was washed-out at Glasgow Green earlier in the year.
Aspiring Level will play in the morning and the Emerging Level will play in the afternoon. The Dundee, Edinburgh, and Glasgow squads will be combined and two match-day squads will be formed to play against each other.
Aspiring matches will start at 10:30am. In the afternoon the Emerging boys will play between 1:10pm-4pm.
Boys Nomination Day – Sunday 12 December
The boys also have an Open Trial at Stirling University on Sunday 12 December for players who have who have been nominated by club, school, and district coaches, to get the chance to be seen by the National Stage Group coaches. In the morning Alan Wall will lead a session for the Emerging Level, and in the afternoon, Andrew Brogdon will lead a session for the Aspiring Level.
