Borders Hockey Development and the Borders Sport and Leisure Trust would like to invite you to attend the following Coach Development sessions.
Colin Clarke has recently been appointed as one of th GB Youth Hockey coaches and he has agreed to come and deliver the following content over a number of days at Tweedbank
The title is ‘Learning from Glasgow 2014: What can we implement at youth level for 2018 and beyond’
Monday December 8th, 5.30pm – 7.30pm, practical
Pick ups to protect ball, leads and shooting in the 25/circle
Theory, 7.30pm – 8.30pm. Learning from the Commonwealth Games
Sunday:11th January, 1pm – 3.00 pm
Ball carrying position, Elimination skills and 2v1
Theory, 3.00pm – 4.00pm. Expectations of Regional youth players, what should we be focussing on?
Saturday:17th January, 1pm – 3.00pm
Teaching effective passing skills
Theory, 3.00pm – 4.00pm. Tactical set up for outletting from 16s and movement ahead of the ball
Sunday: 25th January, 1pm – 3.00pm
Closing down, defending and tackling
Theory, 3.00pm – 4.00pm. Tactical set up for pressing 16s, sidelines and long corners
