Alex Fedenczuk umpires the Quarter Finals at the Junior World Cup
Alex Fedenczuk, one of Scotland’s FIH umpires, today officiates at the all-European Quarter Final clash between Germany and Spain at the Junior World Cup in Bhubaneswar, India.

This is the highest level tournament that Alex has been appointed to, so far, in his umpiring career.
Alex has been umpiring at European club and nations events since 2014.
His first major international appointment outside Europe was in Malaysia, in October 2019, at the Sultan of Johor Cup which is an invitational event for six U21 teams from around the world. He did well and umpired the 3rd – 4th play-off game. Had GB not been in the final, he may have been selected to umpire that.
This year, in October, he has officiated at the EHL club ranking cup , a top club event for men in Europe.
A member of Watsonian Hockey Club, Alex has been involved in hockey for over 15 years and regularly umpires in Scotland’s Premiership. He was a former Youth Internationalist Goalkeeper and has experience of playing and officiating right from school through to International level.
Alex is also on the FIH advancement panels for both Indoor and Outdoor.
