Junior Schools Cup Finals 2025

It’s Junior Schools Cup finals day at Glasgow National Hockey Centre on Friday 7th March. We have 6 matches to look forward to and it is sure to be an exciting day of hockey.

Junior Girls Challenge Plate

In the final of this years plate competition Kelvinside Academy face off against Wellington. Kelvinside reached the final with wins over Earlston High School and Marr College, Wellington’s road to the final began with a win over St Columba’s before they overcame Gordonstoun in the semi final. This one starts at 10am to kick off the day!

Junior Boys Plate

In the Junior Boys Plate final Fettes College play Jordanhill. Fettes started their journey with a hard fought win over Edinburgh Academy, before a more comfortable win against Robert Gordon’s College in the semi final. Jordanhill had wins over Hutchesons Grammar and George Heriots to earn their place in the final. This one gets underway at 11.15am.

Junior Girls Plate

At 12.30pm High School of Dundee face Dollar Academy in the third match of the day, the Junior Girls plate final. High School of Dundee overcame High School of Glasgow in their first tie in the competition, before a penalty shootout win over Glenalmond in the semi final. Dollar Academy began with a one goal victory over Hutcheson’s Grammar and defeated St George’s to set up this final

Junior Girls Challenge Cup

Kelso High School reached the final of the Girls Challenge Cup with initial wins over Marr College and Wellington. They faced Peebles in the semi final and victory there sees them line up against St Aloysius’ College who reached their first ever final with wins over Earlston High School, St Margaret’s School and Robert Gordon’s College.

Junior Girls Cup

At 3.15pm Strathallan go up against Edinburgh Academy in the Junior Girls Final. Strathallan had a bye in the first round and followed it up with wins over Hutchesons Grammar and Mary Erskines School to reach the final. Edinburgh Academy opened up their campaign with a win over Dollar Academy, a quarter final win over George Heriots set up a semi final with Fettes which finished with a penalty shootout.

Junior Boys Cup

At 4.30pm the final match of Junior Schools Cup 2025 takes place between Merchiston and Stewarts Melville College. Merchiston won both of their games on the road to the final by the way of a shootout, first over Jordanhill and then Loretto in the semi final. Stewarts Melville reached the final with wins over Hutchesons Grammar, Fettes College and George Watsons. This final will be a great way to end a fantastic day of hockey.
