iKnow People: Using SH’s player pathway to enhance young players experience
The first workshop of iKnow month is an opportunity to share progress on the roll out of SH’s player pathway, and the impact on participation at both club and district level.
One of the unforeseen benefits to come out of the Covid-19 pandemic is that many clubs have seen an increase in youth participation.
As a result, providing more opportunities for game play at participation level within clubs and districts has been essential to enhance young players experience of hockey and encouraging them to stay in the sport.
This workshop will focus on examples from clubs and district who have successfully started to deliver Fun 4s, Super 6s and / or Eights programmes and highlight the benefits of delivery, alongside any challenges that become apparent.
Scottish Hockey will also use this workshop to launch our new Super 6s six week lesson plan resource, which clubs can use to support delivery ahead of game time & festivals.
