Update on this weekend’s fixtures and activities
Following the publishing of official guidance from the Government regarding the period of national mourning after the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II, and feedback from people within the sport, all Scottish Hockey activities and events we have scheduled for this weekend will go ahead as planned. This includes the start of the league season.
Should clubs and districts wish to proceed with activities as planned they can do so.
All our activities on Monday 19 September have been cancelled.
As a mark of respect, and in keeping with the tone of national mourning, a period of silence will be held at the start of activities, and players may wish to wear black armbands.
Scottish Hockey is deeply saddened by the news of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Hockey is about community and bringing people together, and all our thoughts and condolences are with the Royal Family at this sad time.
