U10 Indoor Tournament hailed great success
On a wet and windy December morning 90 under-10 and under-12’s were delighted to be playing indoor hockey in the warmth of Bells Sports Centre Coaching Hall at an event hosted by Perth’s Junior Hockey Academy.
Teams representing Kinross Kobras, Dunfermline Carnegie, Grove Menzieshill and two from Junior Hockey Academy gathered to compete in a round robin in the under-10 age group.

After all matches had been played Junior Hockey Academy Hawks (see picture) ended up top of the table.
The same clubs, including Blairgowrie, also participated in the under-12 event which was also very keenly contested by many promising players.
Dunfermline Carnegie 2 were the overall winners, defeating Perthshire 2 in the final. Junior Hockey Academy Strikers and Dunfermline Carnegie 1 were tied for 3rd place.
All matches were well contested with many of the players showing their individual tackling, passing and dribbling skills together with the need to work as a team.
The tournament highlighted the great work being done at these clubs to develop the next generation of future stars.
