Top whistlers’ success at European level


Scottish umpire Kerri Targett has been selected by the European
Hockey Federation (EHF) to join their Umpire Development Programme
(UDP) for the next three years. She follows in the footsteps of
fellow umpire Sarah Wilson, who has just graduated from the UDP
after three years on the project.

The UDP offers the opportunity for umpires to be mentored and
trained by experienced EHF officials, whilst also being exposed to
umpiring top level hockey at both club and international level.
They are offered support, guidance and advice in order to develop
and improve their skills at the highest levels of the sport,
underlining their positive benefits reaped from umpire education
and coaching.
