Keith Joss to join Glasgow 2014
Scottish Hockey are now recruting for two new
developments officers, as Keith Joss leaves us to work with Glasgow
2014 on the Commonwealth Games.
Keith will join the Glasgow 2014 team as a Sports Cluster
Manager after working with Scottish Hockey for the last two years
as Glasgow & West Development Officer.
He was responsible for managing a range of regional programmes
involving a number of local and national partners, including
Scottish Hockey’s partnership with the Scottish Government’s ‘CashBack
for Communities’ programme.
Reflecting on his time with Scottish Hockey, he said:
“I’m convinced that hockey in Glasgow and the West of Scotland
is in a great place to develop further. The partnerships that have
been established with the various organisations within West
District; sportscotland; and Local Authorities via
the CashBack for Communities programme, have demonstrated that
hockey is an activity for everyone. These partnerships will
continue to grow as the benefits of strategic, joined-up work are
realised.
“I’ve particularly enjoyed working with clubs to help them see
the benefits of building local pathways, and I’m hopeful that key
aspects for development such as quality coaching, umpiring and
facilities will remain at the forefront of their thoughts.”
