Kaz Cuthbert joins the Scottish Hockey Board
Former Scotland internationalist and Scottish Hockey Vice President Kaz Cuthbert has joined the Scottish Hockey Board.
Kaz earned 163 caps and scored 16 goals for Scotland and represented Scotland at two Commonwealth Games; three European Championships; and two EuroHockey Championships II competitions.
Kaz will bring a variety of different skills and experiences to the board, particularly from a performance perspective.
In September 2020 Kaz was elected as Vice President for Scottish Hockey and the Vice President position will remain vacant while the board reviews this aspect of governance.
The appointment of Kaz to the board will support Scottish Hockey’s Reset, Build and Excel approach to achieving its vision of being a professional, commercially sustainable, visible, diverse and world-class governing body over a ten-year period.
Cuthbert said, “With my experience as an international player and the networking I have continued as Vice President I have developed my knowledge and understanding of leading organisations in hockey, and other successful national governing bodies. I hope to bring that knowledge to our board as we embark on our build phase to make Scottish Hockey a world-class governing body.
“I am extremely passionate about driving Scottish Hockey onwards and upwards and look forward to being part of the one team to make that happen.”
Martin Shepherdson, Chair of Scottish Hockey, added, “The board of Scottish Hockey is delighted to welcome Kaz. Having Kaz’s experience and knowledge will be of great benefit as we continue to move forward and build the sport in Scotland.”
