Grange level with Kelburne

Grange moved level with Glynhill Kelburne at the top of
the Subway national league after a 2-1 win over Edinburgh
University in a catch-up fixture at Peffermill, but the Paisley
outfit are still in pole position on goal difference.

Midway through the first half Grange took the lead, Rob Barr
passed the ball on to Cammie Fraser, he distributed it to Duncan
Batchelor on the base line and his square pass was tapped in by
Phil Sully.

The same player added a second ten minutes later following a
defensive error by Edinburgh, the ball fell to Colin McIver whose
miss-hit shot was saved by the student`s goalkeeper, the rebound
came back to McIver and his square pass was fired home by
Sully.

A Grange defensive error allowed the students to pull one back,
but Grange survived to take the three points.

In the women`s league a hat-trick by player/coach Sam Judge was
the catalyst in Edinburgh University`s 5-2 win over Grange, the
other goals came from Mairi Drummond and Sarah Robertson.
