Supported by experienced coaches, the girls came together to concentrate on certain aspects of their play and to put all their training into action.

With the emphasis being on training and participation, not results, this allowed the girls to thoroughly enjoy their day.

Nonetheless, the matches between teams of Dundee Devils, Edinburgh Lightning and Glasgow Thunder provided a competitive element, without having to worry about the score.

The event also provided an opportunity for some umpire training and development throughout the day.
Cheered along by the parents, the girls had a great time whilst many of the parents took the opportunity to buy a thick, woolly hat to support their chosen team and help them keep warm!
