‘Get Hooked on Hockey’ with East Kilbride Hockey Club
East Kilbride Hockey Club and South Lanarkshire Leisure are partnering to offer females the opportunity to enjoy hockey at a recreational level.
The People’s Postcode Lottery have funded a pilot to widen the opportunities in hockey and target new, social participants.
‘Get Hooked on Hockey’ is a class aimed specifically at female beginners as an alternative to other group fitness activities.

The sessions will be led by a fully qualified coach and the focus will be on fun, fitness and meeting new people.
Classes will be delivered under local hockey clubs to make sure the programme is sustainable.
As part of the pilot, participants can attend 3 sessions for free after which they will receive their free ‘Get Hooked on Hockey’ t-shirt, as well as free social membership to Scottish Hockey.
The class will be launched on Wednesday 2 March, 8pm-9pm at John Wright Sports Centre in East Kilbride. To sign up for this class follow the link here: http://goo.gl/forms/gdjurvI7Gw
The second pilot will take place in North Ayrshire Council starting mid-April. More information to follow.
