Game changer new roles start in the BRAVE Programme
Three new roles focused on leading on physical preparation have started as part of the BRAVE programme. Kevin Watson; Fallon Clark and Matthew Callow have began to work with BRAVE athletes in each of the BRAVE centres.
These brand new roles for this Brave cycle will support long-term athletic and holistic development across our pathway. They will focus on supporting the physical conditioning programme with our BRAVE athletes and support player education and development around recovery and loading. They will be a constant presence at our training sessions to support our athletes and coaches.
BRAVE Lead Kelly Fillingham said, “We are thrilled to have Kevin, Matthew and Fallon join the BRAVE programme team. The recruitment process was robust and I’m positive we have found three practitioners who share our vision and passion to develop our young athletes.
“I am excited to see the experience and drive Kevin, Matthew and Fallon will bring to our coaching team over the rest of the cycle. We felt strongly that the game is in a place now where the physical conditioning of our athletes becomes something we need to apply more resources to at an earlier entry point, while also looking at the wider holistic piece, and I’m proud we are one of only a few pathways in Europe that has this recourse at this stage of the player pathway.”
