All Indoor leagues cancelled this weekend

Scottish Hockey has taken the decision to cancel all Indoor leagues this weekend (18th/19th December).  

Our priority is the health and well-being of players, coaches, and officials alike.  

Although current government restrictions permit indoor sports; given the recommendations to limit indoor mixing, the surge of the omicron variant and numerous teams highlighting concerns/isolating, cancelling this weekend is the safest option.  

This decision has not been made lightly and has been made in the interests of the safety of all involved.  

As you are aware, the majority of leagues were due to reach the end of Stage 1 this weekend with everyone playing everyone once. This will be postponed until the New Year.  

We will play week 3 in the first weekend in January (8/9th), or the first weekend that it is possible to resume indoor leagues.   

If time permits, we will look to play a condensed format over the reduced number of days to complete stage 2 as proposed at the start of the season (as shown here)

More information will be provided on a condensed format after the holidays, or when we reach the completion of stage 1.
