COACHING COURSES

Courses Available

For potential and current coaches, Scottish Hockey offer a number of coaching courses that you can undertake to gain coaching qualifications or develop your knowledge.

For volunteers, senior school pupils, parents and teachers, we offer a short introduction to the basics in hockey leadership.  See below for details of our upcoming Leaders Courses.  Please contact the relevant person for further details.

UKCC Courses 2017

If you are interested in working towards the UKCC Level 1 and 2 qualifications, please find below a number of coaching courses that you can sign up to.

UKCC Level 1 coaching courses cost £165 for Scottish Hockey members and £215 for non-members.

UKCC Level 2 coaching courses cost £420 for Scottish Hockey members and £470 for non-members. (This includes a copy of the NAC sports analysis software)

Scholarship funding is available direct from sportscotland and will be provided to Scottish Hockey members who apply using the application process detailed on sportscotland website.  Funding available will be 40% for UKCC Level 1 course participants and 60% for UKCC Level 2 participants.  The COURSE CODE is the venue for the course.

ADVANCED COACH PROGRAMME - Applications for the 2017 cohort are now CLOSED.

An application must be accompanied by a short video.  Please send a video, no longer than one minute in length, explaining why you want to be part of the Advanced Coach Programme. Applications without a video will not be accepted.

Full payment of £1400 to be received by England Hockey

The induction and first workshop session will take place on Sunday 25th June 2017 at Lee Valley.
