Travel information for getting to Glasgow National Hockey Centre during TRNSMT festival

30 June 2017

Spectators attending the Scotland U16 and U18 girls’ matches against Ireland on 7-9 July 2017 should expect travel disruption due to the TRANSMT music festival being held at Glasgow Green over the weekend. It is recommended that you plan your travel in advance and give yourself plenty of time for your journey.

Although original discussions when the festival was announced indicated there would be no disruption to parking at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, it is now anticipated that the festival will have significant impact on the capacity for parking at the venue.

As a result parking will not be available for spectators at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre.

Parking around the venue will also be affected due to traffic restrictions in the surrounding roads.

There are train and bus routes to the Glasgow National Hockey Centre. It is anticipated that these routes will be busy so allow plenty of time for travel to get to the venue.
