Kinross opens new pitch
20 April 2017
Kinross Hockey Club has officially opened its long awaited new pitch at KGV in Kinross.
The club have worked very hard for a number of years to enhance the facilities in Kinross and ensure the long term development of hockey in the area.
During this time the club have also managed to complete a merger of the men’s and ladies clubs, sustain a large number of adult teams along with continuing to grow their club junior section. The new pitch will now allow the club to further develop as a whole and achieve the outcomes set within their club development plan.
Scotland Internationalist Gavin Byers attended the event to officially open the new pitch, and praised the club on their hard work in developing a fantastic new facility for hockey to be played.
The club also used the occasion as an opportunity to thank everyone who had worked tirelessly to ensure this project was completed. Gail Nelson, the Club President, highlighted the numerous donors and sponsors along with the clubs committed volunteers and committee members as without them the project could not have come to fruition.
Congratulations to all at Kinross Hockey Club on the launch of their new pitch.
