Goals from Lidewij Welten and Maartje Paumen either side of half time fired the Netherlands to a 2-0 win over Great Britain in the women’s Hockey Champions Trophy. The Dutch made it two wins from two with a superb display, keeping the hosts at bay to take the win.  Read more


Richardson-Walsh double secures point against Argentina

A brace from Helen Richardson-Walsh handed Great Britain a draw in their opening Hockey Champions Trophy match with Argentina. Danny Kerry’s side twice came from behind having trailed to Maria Granatto’s goal and then Carla Rebecchi’s penalty corner, however thanks to Richardson-Walsh’s heroics it was all square at the final whistle.  Read more

Marco Miltkau’s 40th minute goal was enough to down Great Britain and hand Germany the bronze medal from the Hero Hockey Champions Trophy. The German No22 struck his fourth goal of the tournament to see off Great Britain who despite a number of chances could not find an equaliser.  Read more

Danson strike seals series win over Netherlands

3 June 2016

Alex Danson’s 90th international goal handed Great Britain a 1-1 draw in the second and final test match of the series with the Netherlands. The No15 struck with just three minutes left on the clock to cancel out Eva de Goede’s early penalty stroke. After their win in the first match and the draw tonight, Danny Kerry’s side take the series 1-0, striking a psychological blow to one of their rivals before the Hockey Champions Trophy in London later this month.  Read more
